Only Match — Mechanics

Only Match has no bonus rounds in the usual sense — no free spins, no pick bonus, no buy feature. What it has is a timed round, a priced set of options and a chip bar. Here is each part, and an honest list of what nobody publishes.

How Each Part of the Round Works

What each part does, what it pays and where the published record runs out. New to the format? Start with the Only Match how-to-play guide.

The Round Timer

How to Trigger

Automatic. Rounds run back to back on a countdown rather than waiting for you to press anything.

What Happens

A ring in the lower-left corner counts down — it read 47 in one captured frame and 49 in the other. While it runs you can add chips, undo, or hit the x2. When it reaches zero the round locks and resolves. The practical consequence is one most people underestimate: a timed game sets your pace for you. You are not deciding when the next bet happens, the clock is.

Multipliers

None attached to the timer itself. The payout comes from the odds printed on whichever option tile you backed.

Strategy

This is the single most useful thing to know about the format. A game that keeps dealing you rounds whether or not you have decided anything is a game that is very easy to keep playing. Set a stop before you start, because the game will never pause to give you one.

The Option Tiles

How to Trigger

Shown every round, below the video frame.

What Happens

Each tile pictures a different coloured garment and prints its own payout multiplier. The round resolves to one of them, and a stake on the matching tile pays at the price it was showing. A row of colour chips above the video acts as a quick-select for the same set. The important detail is that the prices differ: in the captured round six tiles were priced at x5.87 and the highlighted one at x50. Prices that far apart mean the outcomes are not equally weighted, so the tile you back is a choice about risk as much as about colour.

Multipliers

Per-tile, per-round, and printed on screen. x5.87 and x50 are the two values seen in one captured round — not a published price list.

Strategy

Read the price, not the picture. Beyond that there is no system to run: a round of this kind resolves on a draw you cannot influence, and no pattern across previous rounds changes the next one.

The Bet Bar

How to Trigger

Available throughout the betting window.

What Happens

Stakes go on in chips. The build in the screenshots offers 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 25 and 150, with an undo arrow at the left end and a x2 button at the right. The running total sits above the tiles — 150.00 in the captured round — so the amount at risk is on screen the whole time rather than buried in a menu. Chip ladders are usually operator-configurable, so the exact values at your casino may differ from these.

Multipliers

None. The bar sets the stake; the tile sets the price.

Strategy

The x2 button is the part worth watching. A control that multiplies your stake in a single tap is exactly what turns a flat session into a steep one. If you use it, decide in advance how many times.

What Is Not Published

How to Trigger

Every time someone quotes a number for this game.

What Happens

No studio publishes a game page for Only Match, which means there is no official RTP, no volatility rating, no maximum win and no stated bet range. We checked the one attribution in circulation — 100HP Gaming — against that studio's own records on 2 October 2026: 30 titles listed on its site, 32 returned by its own games endpoint, and no Only Match in either. That does not prove the game is not theirs, but it does mean nobody can cite them for it.

Multipliers

None published. The only payout figures that exist are the per-round prices the client prints on the tiles.

Strategy

Treat any confident number you find for this game as unsourced until a publisher states it. That applies to the figures this site itself used to carry — they were invented, and they have been removed rather than adjusted.

Where the Published Record Stops

Where the payout numbers live

The payout multiplier lives on the option tile, printed fresh each round. In the round captured for this site, six tiles showed x5.87 and the highlighted one showed x50. There is no published price list — the tile is the source.

Nothing carries over

Nothing carries between rounds. There is no meter to build, no streak to protect and no published mechanic that rewards staying at the table.

What that means in practice

All of the payout information in this game is on screen during the round. That is unusual and genuinely in the player's favour — but it also means there is nothing to look up in advance, and no published return figure behind it.

Bankroll

Rounds arrive on a clock rather than on your click, which makes this format quietly faster than a reel game. Decide the number of rounds you are willing to pay for before you start, because the game will never pause to ask.

Is there a buy feature?

There is no buy feature, and nothing to buy into — every round is the same round. If an operator's build shows one, it is theirs to explain, not something documented for this game.

Short price, long price

  • • Short price: six of the seven tiles in the captured round sat at x5.87.
  • • Long price: the highlighted tile showed x50 — rare, and priced that way for a reason.

Two prices from one captured round are an illustration, not a price list. The only reliable version is the one on your screen when the round opens.
